The program I work for is ending in March (which is pretty much the worst when you absolutely love your job and your coworkers!), so I’ve been looking for a new position the past few weeks. I started interviewing for a position in December, and this past Tuesday, I officially accepted a position! I’ll be working at the American Society of Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics (ASCPT), a nonprofit that publishes 3 different pharmacological journals. I’ll be coming on as the editorial coordinator for the office, which is a perfect step from my current position at the Academies. I am very excited to start in February!
Aaron and I celebrated my job offer (and also celebrated the fact that an accident on a road near our apartment caused us to take an extra 20-minute detour on the way home) by ordering our first delivery takeout. Of our entire marriage. I’m not kidding! It felt incredibly crazy to order chinese food. Especially when it’s located literally 4 minutes from our apartment. HA! Basically we’re winning at life.
In an effort to follow through with one of my resolutions, I signed up for A Beautiful Mess’s DSLR Basics class my parents gave me for Christmas! I can’t wait to start learning all about the various manual settings on my Canon camera! Let 2015 be the year of beautiful pictures.
- Here are a few of my favorite links on the interwebs:
I loved this episode from Invisibilia that aired on This American Life this past week called Batman. It’s a great story about how a blind man maintains his independence in a world that tries to help too much. So fascinating.
- I sure hope I didn’t say any of these things in my job interview!
- Definitely going to make some of these cookie envelopes! What a perfect way to share with neighbors aka not eat the entire batch yourself…
- Soooooooo peanut butter cheesecake is a thing now. Yes. PLEASE!
