Baseball is one of our favorite sports. It’s so relaxing and really seems to epitomize spring. Perfect weather, trees in bloom, and finally getting to wear short sleeves. And then burn to a crisp. It’s wonderful (minus the burn part).
Aaron and I had a wonderful Saturday filled with bike shopping (more on that another day!), biking to DC to watch the Nationals play the San Diego Padres, and hanging out with our great friends, the Jacksons!
We’ve known the Jacksons for a long time through marching band at BYU; in fact, Aaron actually started band with them his freshman year of college! We love being out here near them!
We sat in the shade, thankfully, so I only burned a light cotton candy pink instead of my normal cherry red color. This game was actually my first Major League game I’ve been to! The Nationals trounced the Padres soundly, really putting on a show for my first game. They may make a Nationals fan of me yet!
Also, have you ever heard of the President’s Race? They’re hilarious! Waaaay cooler than the bland food mascots you normally see at baseball games.
It was a great weekend! I can’t wait to go to another game soon!
